-Inablity of the couple to coceive up to one year of married life with normal contraceptive-free sexual relations if the age of female is below 35 and up to6 months if the female is over age of 35 or incapability of female to carry a preagnqncy to term.
 -Infertility is of two types— primary and secondary.
primary infertility: is the term used when couples have never beenable to conceive.
Secondary infertility: is difficulty inconceiving after they have conceived and carried a normal pregnancy previously.

this is often seen after child-birth when infection in the lying in period causes tubal blockage.
