⁃ The coginitivd impairements diminish a perso’s social occupational , and intellectual abilities.
⁃ In the U.S , 4.5 millon people are afficted by dementia .
⁃ Dementia is somewhat more common in women than men.
⁃ It must be distinguished by careful clinical examination from delirium, psychosis , depression , and effects of medications.
