   DEFINITION :-


  Breast self-examination is a method of screening used in an attempt to detect early cancer of breast.It involves the women herself checking and feeling each breast for possible
lumps, distortion or swelling.

 WHY WE SHOULD BREAST SELF-EXAMINATION


  •   We can regularly examine our breasts by own.
  •   It is the important way to find a breast cancer early so we can treated it successfully.
  •   We should recommended that all women to perform it routinely.
  •   It is very necessary to regular breast self-exam for reduce deaths from breast cancers. 
  •   Each and every women should be aware of how their breasts normally look and feel and any changes to a health care provider right way.


 1. FIRST STEPS OF BREAST SELF-EXAMINATION 


  •   To begin by stand in front of mirror by looking at your breast straight your shoulders and your arms on your hips.
  •   You should look your breasts that are their usual size, shape and color.
  •   Evenly shaped breasts without visible distortion or swelling.
  •   If you see any type of changes then you should early consult your doctor.
  •   If you see these changes such as dimpling, puckering or bulging of the skin.
  •   Change of position of nipples.
  •   Soreness, rash, swelling or redness.


  STEPS OF BREAST SELF-EXAMINATION 


 2. In the second step raise your arms and look for the same changes.
 3. During you are in front of mirror, check any sign of fluid coming out of one or both nipples like watery, milky, yellow fluid or blood.
 4. Lying on the bed and feel your breasts  


  •  Using your right hand to feel your left breast and then left hand to feel your right breast.  
  •  Smooth touch with first few finger pads of your hand keeping the fingers flat and together.
  •  Use a circular motion about the size of a quarter.


 5. In the final step you can feel your breasts by standing and sitting. some women have their breast skin is wet and slip-ply.
