⁃ Some time person have injuries that occur during fetal or embryonic development such as, exposurebto infections or toxins in utero.
⁃ Genetic syndrome
⁃ Childhood exposure to toxins
⁃ Down syndrome
⁃ Social or emotional deprivation during infancy or childhood all many contribute to impairements in intellectual development.
⁃ SYMPTOMS:-
⁃ Restlessness
⁃ Hyperactivity
⁃ Talking late or trouble with walking .
⁃ Difficulty remembering things.
⁃ Crawling
⁃ DIAGNOSIS:-
⁃ tests done
⁃ Intelligence test IQ tests for checking IQ levels of patient to diagnose mental retardation.
⁃ If poor scorrd on thesetests corelate wirh observed difficulties in adaptation to the environment.
